FRANK FORREST TALBOT was born in London on the 6th August, 1844, and died in Rosario, Argentina, on the 15th April, 1922, after a short illness.
He went to the Argentine in 1864, and was engaged in the construction of the telegraph and electric signalling for the Northern Railway of Buenos Aires.
In 1868 he undertook the construction of the telegraph system and the electric lighting of the Central Argentine Railway, with which the Northern Railway was afterwards amalgamated. He remained with the company until 1905, when he retired on pension, superintendent of the Central Argentine Railway telegraph and electric light systems.
He was elected an Associate of the Institution in 1874, and a Member in 1878.
