FRAZER-NASH CABRIOLET
The Frazer-Nash Cabriolet is designed to combine an even greater degree of comfort with the high speed qualities of the Mille Miglia and Le Mans Replica models.
This new convertible is some six inches wider than the Mille Miglia and the increased length permits accommodation of an additional two passengers, making it an occasional four-seater. The illustration below, of the Mille Miglia with large windscreen and all-weather hood, clearly shows the steps to the development of the Cabriolet.
A notable feature of the Frazer-Nash cars which have done so well in recent competitions is that all are genuine production models and are privately owned. Of 53 entrants in the 1950 Production Car Race at Silverstone, five Frazer-Nash cars started and five completed the course. These included the first three English cars to finish, being third (at an average of 81.53 m.p.h.), fourth and fifth in the General Classification.
