Frederick Stanley Bennett (1874-1958), founder of F. S. Bennett
1874 April 21st. Born at Burtonwood, Lancs., the son of John Bennett, farmer.
A lancashire man, Bennett imported the first Cadillac and then completed the 1,000 mile Reliability Trial in 1903.
1903 "Mr F. S. Bennett completed the 1,000-mile Reliability Trial yesterday in spite of heavy rain and a gale. He covered 1,094 miles in eight days at an average speed of 21.25mph. This is much faster than when he did the trial fifty years ago as then there was a 12mph speed limit in the towns and 20mph elsewhere."

1911 Living at 55 Acacia Rd, St John's Wood, London N.W.: Frederic Stanley Bennett (age 36 born Sankey, Lancs.), Motor Engineer, Motor Agent - Employer. With his wife Mabel Mary Bennett (age 30 born Enfield) and their two children Mona Ursula Bennett (age 3 born Marylebone) and Stanley Brownlow Bennett (age 9 months born Marylebone).[1]
1913 Bennett repeated the 1,000 mile reliability trial.
1937 President of the Motor and Cycle Trades Benevolent Fund.
