FREDERICK ATTOCK died on the 21st May, 1902, at his residence, Garden Hill, Windermere.

He was born at Liverpool on the 10th February, 1846, and served an apprenticeship under his father, Mr. George Attock, then Superintendent of the Carriage and Wagon Department of the Great Eastern Railway.

He succeeded his father in that post in the year 1874, and in 1877 he was appointed Superintendent of the Carriage and Wagon Department of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway, which office he held until 1895, when he retired owing to ill health.

Mr. Attock was elected an Associate of the Institution on the 5th December, 1882, and transferred to Member on the 3rd February, 1891.
