1926 Incorporated as a Private company to acquire the business established by Frederick Parker, engineer and iron founder.

1930 Municipalities were employing Parker Plant on road-making and building works - see 1930 Industrial Britain: Frederick Parker.

1961 Engineers and manufacturers of builders' and contractors' plant, road making plant and quarry and gravel pit machinery. 900 employees. [1]

1977 As a result of tax problems, the company (which was one of the country's largest family-run businesses) offered some shares to outsiders[2]

1981 Reported losses[3]

1982 Registered as Frederick Parker plc

1986 Company was put into receivership.

Presumably the business became Parker Plant Ltd but not sure of the details.
