Frederick Wardrobe, CEng, MIEE (1882-1977)

Born 18 Sep 1882,[1] son of Richard Frederick Wardrobe, of Wardrobe and Smith, Arley Steel Works, Sheffield.

1901 Electrical Engineer (Apprentice?).[2] Student, Institution of Electrical Engineers[3]

1908 Associate Member, Institution of Electrical Engineers[4]

1910 Electrical Department, William Jessop and Sons[5]

1911 Chief Engineer, Steelworks.[6]

1921 Works Engineer, Brightside Steelworks, William Jessop and Sons[7]

1924 Works Manager, Brightside Steelworks in succession to Frederick Charles Alfred Hyatt Lantsberry.

1936 Appointed to the Board of William Jessop and Sons.[8] Stated to be vice president of the Sheffield Society of Engineers and Metallurgists.

1939 Director of Limited Company. Engineer, Mech, Elec and Civil.[9]

1955 Resigned from William Jessop’s Board, but continued to work as an engineering consultant.[10]

Died 9 Aug 1977. Shown as CEng and MIEE.
