Born the son of Peter Franklin Bellamy, a Doctor, and his wife Mary Ann Strachan.

1883 Application to be Borough engineer of Portsmouth. 'Mr. George David Bellamy, C.E., Borough Surveyor of Plymouth, testimonials from the Corporation and officials of Plymouth. Was formerly assistant, and is now Borough Surveyor of Plymouth, having been in the employ of the Corporation of that town for seventeen years altogether.'[1]

1909 Residing at Combeside, Plympton: George D. Bellamy (age 67 born Plymouth), Civil Engineer (and Widower). With his daughters Jennie S. and Ellen C.[2]
