1964 Obituary[1]

"We record with regret the death of Mr G. E. Shuttleworth, managing director of Matthews and Yates Ltd., of Winton, Manchester, who died in hospital on October 22nd, after a short illness. He was sixty-six years of age. Mr Shuttleworth joined Matthews and Yates in 1914 and completed fifty years service with the company in October. He held the positions of chief estimator and chief draughtsman before becoming a director in 1944. He was made joint managing director in 1957 and became managing director in 1962. Mr Shuttleworth was a member of the Institution of Heating and Ventilating Engineers and was chairman of the Manchester branch between 1953 and 1955. He was also a member of the Institution of Nuclear Engineers."
