Mr G. P. Vickers (Associate Member) received his technical education at Doncaster Technical College and served his apprenticeship with Peglers Ltd, Doncaster.

He joined the International Harvester Co. as an assistant in the Planning Department and in 1948 he became Press Shop Foreman.

From 1950-57, he was Senior Methods Engineer with Crompton Parkinson Ltd and since then he has been a Production Engineer with James Neill and Co. (Sheffield) Ltd.

Mr Vickers became a Graduate of the Institution in 1953 and has been a very active member of the Yorkshire Graduates' Section, serving on the Committee from 1955-60 and holding office as Secretary, Vice-Chairman and Chairman of the Section. He is the author of a paper which won a Graduates' Prize in 1956. In 1960 he became an Associate Member.
