1849 Took over Samuel and William Kingdon
1853 Presentation to John Jarvis, Junior, when he leaves the company to go in to business on his own account.[2]
1860 'Crescent boiler' for heating hothouses, dwellings, pineapple and melon pits, etc.[3]
1863 Partnership dissolved. '...the undersigned, John Garton, John Lidstone Lindon, and William Jarvis, as Ironfounders and Ironmongers, and which was carried on under the style or firm of Garton and Jarvis, in the city of Exeter (and in which said partnership the said John Lidstone Lindon, and William Jarvis were concerned and interested as trustees and executors under the will of the late Ambrose Parker Jarvis, the deceased partner of the said John Garton), was dissolved by mutual consent...'[4]
