1901 Built for the Gem Spinning Co.

1928 Acquired by Egyptian Spinners.

c.1937 Mill closed.

Gem Mill was later acquired by Ferranti and used to manufacture electronic components. A new company Zetex was later formed to acquire Ferranti's discrete semiconductors business.

2003 Zetex closed Gem Mill.

2007 Mill demolished.
