1870 Became a partner with Eugene Carless in Hope Chemical Works

1871 George B Capel 36, oil merchant and manufacturing chemist, living in Hampstead, with Elizabeth Capel 39, Hubert C C Capel 8, Katie M Capel 7, Edgar S Capel 5[2]

1872 The partnership with Carless was dissolved. All debts were received and paid by George Bligh Capel, at the Hope Chemical Works[3]. Capel formed a new partnership with John Hare Leonard, trading as Carless, Capel and Leonard, with Carless as works manager. Leonard became the sole proprietor within eighteen months.

1881 Mining agent, living with his brother-in-law, Augustus C. Tracey, in Stapleford, Herts[4]

1905 Died in Montreal[5]
