1966 Appointed general manager of English Electric Industrial Control and Automation, a grouping of all the company's product and systems divisions directly concerned with this field. Mr Spratt joined The English Electric Co Ltd. in 1947 as a manufacturing engineer at Stafford. He was appointed chief manufacturing engineer, Stafford Works, in 1952 and in 1954 became manager of the company's motor, relay and instrument division, a position he held until his new appointment. Mr Spratt is a director of The English Electric Export and Trading Co Ltd., English Electric Automation Ltd., and represents English Electric on the board of the Compagnie Continentale des Equipments Electriques, Paris.[1]
