Morse, now officiating Chief Engineer, North-Western Railway, for a system of interlocking points and signals known as "List and Morse patent system of interlocking." This system has been in use now for some years past on the North-Western Railway, and been the means of saving much money heretofore lost in damages to the permanent way and rolling stock through trains running foul on account of the carelessness of pointsmen. The system is to be adopted on all the railways in India, as it has been found to be a perfect arrangement for the purpose. '[2]
