George Jinman, F.R.G.S., F.M.S

1886 According to A. Wilson of Stamford Hill, the storm that destroyed the Tay Bridge had been predicted 11 days in advance by the late Mr. George Jinman, who had made the science of meteorology an especial study. Mr. Jinman's theory was based on magnetic and electric bands around the earth.[1]

His followers predicted a return of this storm in December 1886.
