George Wagstaff (c1906- ) of Wagstaff and Appleton and Pressac

1983 'Mr George Wagstaff was awarded an MBE. Mr Wagstaff (77) of Derby Road, Long Eaton, founded the firm in 1947 in Leopold Street moving in 1962 to Oakland Avenue. In 1955 the company established Pressac Ltd to manufacture radio and electrical components. This became a public company in 1968 incorporating Wagstaff and Appleton as a subsidiary. Until his retirement last year Mr Wagstaff served on the Pressac board.'[1]
