'We have learned with regret that Mr. George W. P. Page, A.C.G.I., A.M.I.E.E., who until his retirement at the end of 1953 was a member of the staff of the publicity department of the then British Thomson Houston Company Ltd., Rugby, died on Saturday, December 2, 1961, at St. Albans General Hospital. He was seventy-two. George Page was born in London and was educated at Enfield Grammar School and Finsbury Technical College. After gaining practical engineering experience in industry he took a course in electrical engineering at the City and Guilds of London Institute Central Technical College. For a short time he lectured at Bristol University, and later was an assistant on the editorial staff of Electrical Engineering before joining the publicity department of The General Electric Company Ltd. He entered the service of B.T.H. in December, 1923.'
