1854 Company established by George Wright, George Wilton Chambers, a barrister, and Henry Crichley at Burton Weir, Sheffield, trading as Crichley, Wright and Co.

1861 Partnership change. '...the Partnership heretofore subsisting between George Wilton Chambers, of Clough-house, Rotherham, in the county of York, Henry Crichley, late of Sheffield, in the same county, but now of Birmingham, and George Wright, of Moorgate, Rotherham aforesaid, carrying on business in, partnership as Stove, Grate, and Fender Manufacturers, and General Ironfounders, at Sheffield, in the county of York, under the style or firm of Crichley, Wright, and Company, was by the decree of his Honor the Master of the Rolls, dated the 24th day of January, 1861, declared to be dissolved as from the 1st day of January, 1861, so far as regards the said Henry Crichley; and that the business will henceforth be carried on by the said George Wilton Chambers and George Wright...[1]

1862 Tenders asked to erect a New Stove Grate Manufactory at Masbro' for George Wright and Co. Architect is William Blackmoor.[3]

1884 Partnership change. '...the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned, George Wilton Chambers and George Wright, as Stove, Grate, and Fender Manufacturers, and General Ironfounders, at Burton Weir, Rotherham, in the county of York, and at No. 155, Queen Victoria-street and No. 288 Upper Thames-street, London, under the firm of George Wright and Company, became dissolved, by effluxion of time, on the 31st day of December, 1883. All debts due to and from the said late firm will be received and paid by the said George Wilton Chambers, who will continue to carry on the said business under the said firm of George Wright and Company...'[5]

1905 Incorporated as a limited company under present style.

1914 Stove grate manufacturers, general ironfounders and heating engineers. Specialities: patent Osborne grates, stove grates, tile hearths, ward stoves and ventilating grates; marble and wood chimney pieces; kitchen ranges; balusters, gates and railings; paving lights, fireplaces in armour bright (old English style), ventilating fireplaces and stoves. 1927 Was one of the main companies making stove-grates[7]

1931 George Wright (Rotherham) Ltd, Burton Weir Works, Rotherham. Makers of the 'All-Faience Ward Stoves' and installed in the Worksop Victoria Hospital Extensions.[8]

1979 Advertisement. George Wright (Rotherham) Ltd, The Crofts, Rotherham. Designers and artistic Ironfounders since 1854.[9]
