1928 Major Renwick was appointed to the board of Scammell Lorries having purchased a substantial shareholding; his company, Fisher and Renwick London Manchester Steamers Ltd, had been one of the first to use Scammell lorries in 1920 and the fleet was still running satisfactorily[1]
