1975 'Hardman Radio started its life 12 years ago in Hardman Street, near the Philharmonic Hall (Liverpool). It moved to its present location in Dale Street in 1971 and soon after Leisure and General took an interest. They saw the possibilities of developing a quality hi-fi business and expanded to include two large stores in Manchester and Preston, making Hardman Radio one of the biggest concerns in the North West....Peter Klein, Chief Executive...'[1]

At some point became part of Ladbroke Group

1986 Granada Group acquired the assets of Ladbroke Group namely Hardman Radio[2]

1988 Became part of UK Consumer Electronics Ltd.
