"HAROLD LAMBERT was associated with the firm of Messrs. Hudswell, Clarke and Company, Ltd., locomotive engineers, Railway Foundry, Leeds, for the very long period of sixty-eight years.

He was born in 1862 and entered the works as an apprentice in 1879. After completing his practical training in 1884 he gained experience in the drawing office, and for eight years acted as joint manager. On the conversion of the firm into a limited company he was appointed a director. Subsequently he became managing director and held office as chairman for forty six years. Mr. Lambert had been a Member of the Institution since 1903. His death occurred in May 1948."
