1962 John Harvey and Sons was renamed Harvey's of Bristol; the trading activities were carried on under the name John Harvey and Sons[1]. The subsidiaries were:[2]

1962 Acquired Cockburn, Smithes and Co which was brought together with Martinez, Gassiot and Co to produce a single efficient unit in Oporto without changing the styles of the traditional ports[3]

1963 S. Pearson and Son bought a large shareholding in Château Latour in association with Harvey's of Bristol.[4].

1965 Acquired by Showerings, Vine Products and Whiteways Ltd[5]

1968 Showerings, Vine Products and Whiteways was acquired by Allied Breweries

1981 was part of Showerings, Vine Products and Whiteways Ltd, a subsidiary of Allied Lyons
