Dr Helen Grimshaw (1904-1987) of the Royal Aircraft Establishment, Farnborough.

1937 Joined the Royal Aircraft Establishment (RAE) Farnborough where she remained for the whole of her career.

1966 She won the aviation safety award - the 1966 Wakefield Gold Medal - of The Royal Aeronautical Society for 'outstanding work over many years on human engineering problems' mainly on oxygen equipment and pressure suits for military aircrew.[1]
