1863 Born

1882 Graduated from King's College, London

Apprenticed for one year to Mr C. Stanger, surveyor of Finsbury Pavement

1883 Articled to W. H. Barlow and Son

Remained with Barlows until 1888 as a salaried assistant working on the second Belsize Tunnel, the new Tay Viaduct and railways and other surveys.

Rejoined Barlows after a few months as chief Assistant

1922 Assoc.M.Inst. C.E., Civil Engineer, 32, Market Square, Lancaster. T. A. " Procter io8 Lancaster." T. N.: 22 Galgate, Lancaster. b. 1863; s. of Rev. Gilbert Procter, Egton, Lancashire. Ed.: King's College, London. Articled to W. H. Barow and Sons (sic), Westminster. Consulting Engineers to Midland Railway Co., and remained with them as Chief Assistant for 13 years in all. Engaged on the New Tay Viaduct, Belsize Tunnel, various tube railways and water supplies at home and abroad, light railways, etc. Subsequently took up arbitration and valuation and compensation work and acts as consultant agent and adviser to several country families, including Lord Ashton of Lancaster. Contribution to Proceedings of Institution of Civil Engineers. Member of Lancashire County Council, War Agricultural Committees, etc. Member of County Club, Lancaster.

1944 Died in Garstang[1]
