First premises on Henleaze Road. Main office at 21-31 Whatley Road, Clifton, Bristol, with depots in Parry's Lane, City Road, Whiteladies Road, Fosseway [1] and Staple Hill.[2]

1924 Hornby's Dairies Ltd. founded following the acquisition of F. W. Gilbert Ltd. and the Norton St. Philip's Dairy Co. Ltd. by Herbert Edwin Hornby (1872-1952).[3]

1926 Premises on Henleaze Road.[4]

1935 Managing Directors: Herbert Edwin Hornby, Samuel Mayer Dubowski, Stanley Raymond Stanley Hornby and Alex Cohen. Dubowski and Cohen were both managers of the Great Eastern Dairy Co. Ltd.[5]

1941 Moved to Parry's Lane, Stoke Bishop, due to bombing of city centre premises in 1940.[6]

1952 Herbert Hornby died on the 17th of February[7]

1956 Hornby's Daries Ltd. voluntarily liquidated.[8]

1959 Company run by the Green family until 1973.[9]

1973 Parry's Lane depot taken over by Cow and Gate. Subsequently owned by Unilever, then Dairy Crest.[10]

2010 Parry's Lane depot closed.
