1854 Born in Newcastle upon Tyne, son of Hugh Lee Pattinson and his wife Isabella[1]

1871 Entered Cambridge University.

1881 Sub-manager, chemical works, lived with his father and brother in South Shields[2]

Manager of Felling Chemical Works, West Newcastle-on-Tyne.

1886 The works closed.

1900 Described as a brick manufacturer in the probate record of his father[3]

1911 Hugh Lee Pattinson 57, coal merchant, director chain (?) painting company, lived in Morpeth with Mary Custance Pattinson 47, Lawrence Arthur Pattinson 20, undergraduate[4]

1924 Died at Newcastle.
