1952 Company formed to conduct aerial surveys using magnetometers and other electronic equipment for geophysical exploration; this was based on the work done by a subsidiary in Canada in previous 4 years. This company was to serve countries who preferred to be paid in sterling[1]

1957 Conducted aerial surveys of Central Africa looking for uranium and other minerals on behalf of the British Geological Survey

1960 Simplification of the Hunting group structure in Britain and Canada resulted in merger of Hunting Geophysics with Hunting Aerosurveys in a new company Hunting Surveys Ltd; the new company would work closely with existing companies in the Hunting Survey Group - Hunting Technical Services and Aerofilms; in Canada a new company, Hunting Survey Corporation was formed to bring together The Photographic Survey Corporation, Hunting Airborne Geophysics and Hunting Technical and Exploration Services.[2]
