Improved Electric Traction Co

3 March 1906. Improved Electric Traction Limited registered at Companies House. Company number is 87822 and registered address is 17 Cockspur Street, the same offices as the London Electrobus Company.[1]

March 1906. Improved Electric Traction exhibits 1-ton electric lorry at Cordingley’s Motor Show. Its stand is an annex of the Motor Car Emporium’s[2]

1907. 2-Ton electric delivery lorry, exhibited at Cordingley’s Motor Show.

24 October 1907. List of directors includes Ernest Rowbottom and Horace Thornton. Improved Electric Traction is one of a number of companies controlled by Edward Lehwess.

17 July 1909. Registered office is now 158a Norwood Road, the same address as the works of the Electric Vehicle Company of West Norwood.

1910. Improved Electric Traction has by now taken over the lease on the London Electrobus garage in Horseferry Road from the Motor Car Emporium. Bailiffs acting for Improved Electric Traction seize a dozen or more electrobuses from the garage to satisfy a rent demand of £292. The electrobuses are broken up for spares.[3]

2 June 1911. Improved Electric Traction goes into voluntary liquidation. It has £3 8s 1d in its bank account.[4]
