Incorporated Association of Municipal and County Engineers

1873 The Association of Municipal and Sanitary Engineers and Surveyors was founded.

1877 Frederick Ashmead was president of the Incorporated Association of Municipal Engineers (this was probably a later erroneous rendering of the title)

1891 The Association became the Incorporated Association of Municipal and County Engineers

1909 Name changed to Institution of County and Municipal Engineers; W. Nisbet Blair became president.[1]

1920 The 47th AGM of the Institution of Municipal and County Engineers was held in Dundee. James Thomson became president.
