1864 Born in Swallowfield, Berkshire, the son of John Hargreaves and his wife Mary Ann Cobham

1889 Married in Paddington to Evelyn Kennard Greenfield

1901 Living at the Rectory, Compton Pauncefoot, Somerset: John Hargreaves (age 37 born Swallowfield, Berks. Late XV Hussars. M.F.H. With his wife Evelyn Bernard Hargreaves (age 32 born Paddington) and their three daughters; Evelyn Mary Hargreaves (age 10 born Haynes, Bed); Ella Florence Hargreaves (age 9 born Paddington); and Vera Hargreaves (age 1 born Dorset). Also his sister. Twelve servants.[1]
