c1900 Became Headly and Edwards.

1920s The company closed.

A c.1845 J. I. Headly horizontal steam engine is on display at Cambridge Museum of Technology. See photos. Approx 40 HP at 70 rpm, 60 psi max. Cylinder 15" bore, 29" stroke. It spent its working life of 123 years at Thomas Evans' leather works in Cambridge.
