1872 Owing to the death of Gurney Pease, the mineral quarrying interests of J. and J. W. Pease of Darlington were put into a new company J. W. Pease and Co with David Dale being a new senior partner. They had the Cleveland Ironstones Mines and Durham Limestone quarries. [1]
1882 Announcement that Joseph Pease and Partners, colliery owners, and J. W. Pease and Co, ironstone and mineral quarry owners, would be amalgamated as Pease Partners Ltd; the ownership would be divided between the existing owners[2].
1898 Pease and Partners was registered as a public company.
