1883 Company registered as a public company as Dr. Jaeger's Sanitary Woollen System Co[1]
1920 Company name changed to the Jaeger Company
1947 Jaeger Co was registered as a private company to take over that part of Jaeger Holdings that consists of the business of wholesalers of woollen and silk and other underclothing[2]
1961 Issue of shares in Jaeger Holdings to the public[3]; the company was a maker and retailer of clothing and knitted goods[4]
1963 H R Tomalin was chairman[5]
1967 Jaeger Holdings was acquired by the Coats textile group.
2003 Coats sold the Jaeger brand name and the Jaeger retail chain[6]
