Jeremiah Booth (c1801- ) of Joseph Booth and Brothers.
1841 Living at Rodley, Leeds: Jeremiah Booth (age c40), a Mill Wright. With his wife Mary Booth (age c35) and their children Joseph Booth (age c15), Ann Booth (age c15), John Booth (age c14), William Booth (age c12), Jeremiah Booth (age c11), Mary Booth (age c8), Ellen Booth (age c6), Susannah Booth (age c4), and Sarah Booth (age 9 months).[1] Note: Adjoining abodes are William Balmforth, Jeremiah Balmforth and David Smith who all listed as Mill Wright
1847 January. Jeremiah Booth sold his one-third interest in Balmforth, Smith and Co to his two partners[2] and started on his own account in adjacent works at Rodley - presumably this was the company which became Joseph Booth and Brothers.
1851 Living at Ridley, Leeds: Jeremiah Booth (age 53 born Idle), Iron Founder employing 11(?) men and 11(?) apprentices. With his wife Mary Booth (age 49 born Bramley) and their children Jeremiah Booth (age 21 born Bramley), a Moulder; Mary Booth (age 18 born Bramley), a Dressmaker; Ellen Booth (age 15 born Bramley), a Woolen Cloth Weaver; Susannah Booth (age 11 born Bramley), Sarah Booth (age 10 born Bramley), and Joshua Woodhead (age 17 Born Idle), a Millwright.[3] Note: Adjoining abodes are Joseph Booth, William Balmforth, Jeremiah Balmforth, John Booth, Jeremiah Booth, and William Booth (2) who are all listed as Mill Wright or Iron Founder. Jeremiah Balmforth and Jeremiah Booth are the ones showing as being employers.
