JOHN ARCHIBALD KENRICK was chairman of Messrs. Kenrick and Jefferson, and a director of Messrs. Archibald Kenrick and Sons, of West Bromwich, and of several other companies.

He was born in 1869 and received his education at Giggleswick Grammar School and at the City and Guilds of London Institute, Finsbury.

He served an apprenticeship from 1888 to 1890 with Messrs. Kitson and Company, Leeds, and subsequently entered his father's firm of Archibald Kenrick and Sons.

In 1902 he became a director. Mr. Kenrick's career was very largely concerned with West Bromwich municipal affairs, particularly with regard to education, and his work in this direction received recognition when he was presented with the Freedom of the Borough. He was Mayor of the County Borough of West Bromwich for 1912-13.

Mr. Kenrick had been a Member of the Institution since 1902.

His death occurred in London on 31st July 1933.
