1935 Died. 'Mr John Bennett Lutterworth Hall of the firm Bennett Bros., hosiery manufacturers, Hinckley who died April 22nd last left estate of the gross value of £26,143 11s 3d and net personalty £25,549 6s. Probate of the will to his children James Bennett of Grove House Burbage, his daughter Miss Gertrude Bennett, of Lutterworth Hall, and William Bennett of Leicester Grange. The testator left his ordinary shares in Bennett Brothers hosiery manufacturers and dyers, Hinckley, Limited to his son James, he to pay the testator’s wife during her life £6 per week during her life, and the residue of the property left his children in equal shares.'[1]
