1943 Commissioned as a temporary 2nd lieutenant in the Royal Navy

1955 John and Mary Emmott, left Southampton for New York; John was a company director, Auto. Products, London W1[3]

The Emmott family continued to be involved in Automotive Products up to the point when it was acquired by BBA.
