1881 Living at Kennford: John (Sn.) Eddy (age 63 born Bishop's Tawton), Blacksmith and Machinist employing 10 men and 3 boys. With his wife Charlotte Eddy (age 65 born Devon) and there two children Mary Eddy (age 41 born Bishop's Tawton) and George Eddy (age 30 born Kenn, Devon). In next abode is' John Eddy.[1]

1883 October 2nd. Died. 'October 2 at Kennford Iron Works, near Exeter, John Eddy, aged 66.'[2]

1893 April 16th. Death of his wife Charlotte age 78.[3]
