1864 'The Richmond-hill Hotel will be erected from the designs of Mr. John Giles, architect, of Craven-street, who is also architect of the Langham Hotel, Portland-place, and of the Farmers' Club' now in course of erection in Salisbury Square.[1]

1869 Mr. John Giles, architect, Craven-street, Strand.[2]

1872 John Giles, Esq., Architect. No. 28, Craven-street, Charing-cross.[3]

1880 'main approach road at the intended Gloucestershire second county lunatic asylum. Messrs. John Giles and Gough, architects.'[4]

1893 'John Giles, architect, of London (son of the late Mr. Giles, of Branston), to whom reference was made in our last, was articled with Mr. Bellamy, architect and surveyor, of this city, and not, stated in our contemporary, with Messrs. Goddard and Son.'[5]
