1919 Assistant engineer on construction of shipyard for Furness Shipbuilding Co on the Tyne. Ralph Freeman was consulting engineer; F. W. H. Stileman was resident engineer.

1920 Associate member of Inst of Civil Engineers; of Dublin.

1922 Resident engineer for Sir Douglas Fox and Partners on Welsh Highland Railway

1926 Resident engineer, Power Section, Department of Industry and Commerce, Strand Barracks, Limerick.
