c1766 Born son of Josiah Wedgwood and his wife Sarah; baptized in Burslem[1]

p1790 Became a partner in the business Josiah Wedgwood and Sons at Etruria from 1790-3

1794 Married Louisa Jane Allen, his sister-in-law

1800 Partner again in the Wedgwood business until 1812

Had an unsuccessful career in banking and then moved from London to Wiltshire to set up in horticulture

1844 John Wedgwood died in Pembroke[2]
