1864-7 Pupil of John Wright M Inst C E, on the Carmarthen and Cardigan Railway, in London and on the Doncaster and Gainsborough line.
1869-70 Further pupilage at Easton and Anderson, Bath
1870-1 Superintended erection of a new tramway at Brighton under C. Hodgson and some road works on the West Coast of Scotland
1872 Completed a tramway and other work in South America
1876-7 further work in USA
1880 Became a partner in Simpson and Denison, which produced engines and machinery for yachts, and also for electricity generation.
1887 of Simpson and Denison, Dartmouth, when he became a Member of Inst Civil Engineers
1917 Died on the Isle of Wight[1]
