1871 Isaac Horton 48, pork butcher, lived in Birmingham with Sarah Horton 45, John Horton 18, William Horton 17, Joseph Horton 15, Benjamin Horton 13[2]

1880 The brothers Benjamin Horton, a gentleman of Birmingham, William, a solicitor and Joseph, a provision merchant, were the executors of their father, Isaac Horton[3]

1881 A solicitor's clerk, living with his mother in Edgbaston[4]

1887 Purchased the cycle business of Joseph Devey which was then combined into the new Humber and Co[5]
