Kelvinside Power Station

Kelvinside Electricity Co built the Kelvinside Power Station in a residential part of the city close to the Hyndland terminus of the North British Railway. It was equipped with 3 Babcock and Wilcox boilers, 3 Willans engines coupled to Bruce Peebles 250 volt dynamos

1899 The works and whole undertaking of the Kelvinside Electricity Co were purchased and taken over by the Corporation in August 1899.

By 1912 the Kelvinside power station was used to boost supply
