Kistna Bridge
Built for the Great Indian Peninsula Railway
3,865 feet in length in 36 spans of 103 ft.
Warren truss girders constructed by Skerne Ironworks in 1870-1. Eye bars were used for the tension members, with centres specified to be accurate within 1/64" in 10 ft. Tolerance on holes and pins 0.010". Ten of the spans were fixed together for testing at Skerne Works, on wooden support piers.
