1905 The company was registered on December 25th to take over the properties of the South Lancashire Electric Traction and Power Co, including the whole issued capital of the South Lancashire Tramways Co and the Lancashire Light Railway.

1908 The system of the South Lancashire Tramways Co has been further extended. The company also owns over 80 per cent, of the share capital of the New St. Helens and District Tramways Co, Limited. [1]

1926 Name changed to Lancashire United Transport and Power Co to more accurately reflect the business of the company which included the South Lancashire Tramways, and electrical power business and a fleet of motor omnibuses and coaches[2]
