Laurence Edgar

From Graces Guide

Laurence Edgar ( - 1st December 1961)

'We regret to record the death, on December 1, of Mr. Laurence Edgar. Mr. Edgar joined John Thompson Ltd., Wolverhampton, in April 1955, as group publicity manager, and built up a department to serve John Thompson Group Companies in all branches of publicity. Some three years later, ill health prevented him from continuing in a full time capacity, but he was able to work on special assignments. Before joining John Thompson, Mr. Edgar had served as assistant publicity manager for the Daimler Motor Company, and publicity manager for Kensitas. During the second world war he served in the Royal Engineers, and was awarded the Military Cross.' [1]
