1959 Letraset Ltd was founded in London.

1961 It pioneered as system of dry transfer lettering. Letraset created many original typeface designs which were later licensed to other foundries and digitized.

1979 Founded TSI Typographic Systems International (TSI) to license Letraset exclusives to other manufacturers.

Early 1980s Esselte acquired Letraset

1985 Esselte acquire ITC.

2000 Esselte sold Letraset to a management buyout

2012 Acquired by ColArt, becoming part of its subsidiary Winsor and Newton.
