Livingstone and Cooper

Livingstone and Cooper of Hessle was a shipbuilding company.
Initially operated by the Cooper family
c.1910 Became a partnership
Up to WWI the yard built standard coasters and five "Saint" class naval tugs. It then went on to build a series of coasters. However, this work soon ran out.
1920 Jan. War Service Tug 'Spry'
During the 1920s the yard built whatever it was asked to do. This included a large motor tanker: Otokia, which although completed in September 1925, had drained the company of its resources. Consequently the yard closed soon after.
