Low Robertson and Co

From Graces Guide

of Edinburgh

1812 According to a list of old-established local firms published by the Leith Chamber of Commerce, this was when the business was founded.[1]

1902 Low, Robertson and Company Limited was incorporated as a private company, with capital of £100,000, to carry on the business of the same name, wine and spirit merchants, Leith.[2] The company was also listed as distillers and whisky blenders.

1935 Booths Distilleries announced its intention of acquiring all the issued shares of the company, in order to secure supplies of certain aged whiskies, the stock of which was valued as being considerably in excess of the purchase price of the shares.[3]

1937 Booth's was acquired by Distillers Co[4].
